There was no more carry over for the Tuesday night Men's Scramble, as Trey Campbell, Warren Mayfield, Dustin Mitchell & Gabe Edny took care of it with a great score of 28 on the back nine..

It looks like everyone is not only pretty enthusiastic about this Tuesday night event, but also that there is some "serious" business and "trash talk" going around: "hey, what you guys had?", "we had a 30, and lipped out many putts. We would have beat you!" Then  winners an and non winners get together at the Elk City Golf Club bar and exchange golf tales, scores and a couple of beers... all in good clean fun. The closest to the pin (#16) was won by Craig Martin  who the day before had aced the same hole during  an informal round while giving a playing lesson to some of our high school players.  

COMING UP: May 1st (Sunday): 2-Person Team, Triple Format (best ball, scramble, alternate shots) Tournament. This tournament was a complete surprise to  Ramona and myself as it is a "welcoming tournament" for the new golf pro. I don't know what to say except a very sincere "THANK YOU" on behalf of both of us. Let's have some fun and hopefully I can play a shot or two with a few or all groups that day. As I understand, Brad Gilbert and Brian Carnes will do the cooking after the tournament... CAN'T WAIT!!


FYI, THIS IS AN OPEN TOURNAMENT AND WE WILL HAVE GROSS AND NET PRIZES, SO MAKE YOUR TEAM IN ANY WAY YOU SO DESIRE.
